Unfortunately after shredding approcimately 100 CDs the Shredstar Cross Cut CD/Credit Card Shredder now appears to have failed.
Inserting any item for shredding results in the shredder gears halting while making a loud grinding noise.

Please can we have an update on this. The return item was "delivered on 13/05/2008 at 13.30 and signed for by SIMPSON." but we've heard nothing since then and urgently require a working replacement.
Also who do we contact regarding a refund on the return delivery cost?

Sorry for the delay in responding to your message.
We have recieved your unit back, and are currently awaiting a delivery of new units so we can send you a replacement. Please confirm the delivery address for us to send it to?
Also in terms of the delivery cost - returning the item to us is your responsibility, then we send a replacement unit back to you at our cost.
Hopefully the new stock will arrive in our warehouse by friday - so once we have your return address confirmed we can send a new unit out.

With regards to the return delivery cost, why is the cost not refunded? You send us a unit that breaks within a week of delivery so we have to pay for it? That seems wrong to me.
It cost us £38.36 to return and I expect that cost to be refunded, either in full to the credit card originally used to purchase the unit or as a credit on our account for future use. If you require a copy of the delivery invoice so you can refund it please let me know and I'll forward it on to you.

I appreciate what you're saying, however please note on the RMA authorisation paperwork (that you included in the parcel) it does clearly state that all shipping costs involved in returning any faulty unit are the customers responsibility.
On this occasion as a gesture of goodwill I am willing to share part of the cost - so please provide the invoice at your earliest convenience. I am surprised such a small parcel could cost so much to ship!
However please note this shredder is not designed for industrial use - it is for light office use only. If you expect to be shredding 100 discs a week perhaps you might need to invest in a more robust unit. If you need advice on this please contact our sales office.
