Hello.
Hopefully you can help me. I have a microboards 1 cd printer and the alignmnet seems to have slipped. The printer refuses to print on the bottom side of the disc leaving quite a broad \"moon shaed\" gap at the bottom. I have had it serviced and the sensors cleaned but to no avail. No matter what i change or no matter where i place the image it still refuses to print on that section.
Would you have any settings or ANYTHING you could suggest to fix this problem?
Thank you very much for your time
Pete
Hi Peter,
Have you changed the alignment settings in the Printing Preferences?
If not; open Control Panel>Printers & Faxes - right click on your Microboards printer, and select "Printing Preferences".
This will open a new window. Click the "Utility" tab and from there you can alter the alignment of the print. Changing the values there will move your printed image.
If you do not have an alignment CD, you may have to just experiment by printing a few discs, fine-tuning the alignment after each one is printed.
Kind Regards,

Ok, can you tell me hoe to move the image DOWN? I've messed about with it before but i really have no idea what im doing. If you could just tell me which field to increase or reduce to move the image down the cd i would appreciate it.

The field that says "top" you will need to alter to move the image up or down.
Ensure the resolution is set to 0.1mm.
I believe you need to increase the number to move the image down.
Try setting a value of 10, apply the settings and attempt a print. If the print starts to move in the opposite direction to what you need, change the "top" field to a negative number (ie, -10 instead of 10).
You can then increase this number by 5 or 10 everytime you attempt a print (to get an approximate alignment) then fine tune the alignment with increments of 1.
I hope this helps!
