Dear XXX,
I am in receipt of your returned Bravo Pro, which I have yet to test.
However, while our machine of less than a month has been in for repair, the recently repaired machine I had been using in the meantime... has broken down.
At the beginning of September, you returned this machine, having stated that you had replaced the bottom drive and motherboard.
Today, I’m continuing to have problems. The top drive is no longer coming out far enough, which is causing major production problems. In addition, the machine seems to be consistently getting “confused” and placing multiple discs in each drive – which may be a fault of the picker, or the machine motherboard.
Either way, this really needs sorting again, unfortunately.
To be honestly, this constant returning in order to fix problems is causing me great stress. It’s not as though we’re a massively heavy user!
Anyway - can you arrange to have this picked up?
Can you also give it a proper and thorough vetting to ensure that we will not have to return it again within the month?
Could you please arrange collection.
Kind regards,
Tricia [edited]
Dear Tricia,
I am sorry to hear you have problems with your Bravo Pro. Please try the following to solve the problems at your end. Please update the firmware of the drives in order to solve the problem with the tray. Please go to http://www.primera.com/downloads/support/DriveFirmware/DriveFirmware.html to download the update (double click on the downloaded file and the update will be done automatically). Please note you will need to check the model of your drives (as far as I remember you have DVR-115, but you can double-check it in PT Publisher, if you still are not sure, please let me know the serial number of the machine causing the problems and I will check my records). If you getting the software error that multiple discs have been placed in recorder or printing tray but they were not then please go to http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/s-77406906/cmd/kbresource/kb-4560239703635771602/view_question!PAGETYPE?sq=multiple%2bdiscs%2bin%2beach%2bdrive&sp=21&sf=101113&sg=0&st=582541&documentid=55387&action=view for the relevant utility and instructions. If however machine is picking more than one discs at a time and you are sure that the discs are not sticky then please reset the picking depth using. Please go to http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/s-77406906/cmd/kbresource/kb-4560239703635771602/view_question!PAGETYPE?sq=picking%2bdepth&sp=21&sf=101113&sg=2&st=474743&documentid=317922&action=view for the step by step instructions. Please also try the machine with different make if the discs.

Hello Tricia,
I have now replaced faulty drive and bridgeboard. I was testing the unit for the last couple of days - I managed to successfully copy and print apporx. 150 CDs and 40 DVDs. You will find a pack of blank CDs for you to use with the unit. I strongly recommend you use branded A-rade media (like, verbatim, tayio yuden or enclosed one) to avoid any similar problems with the drives in future. Please confirm delivery address [edited] and we will dispatch the unit.
Kind Regards,

Hi [edited]
Can you please explain how the discs can effect the machine? The ones I use are more expensive than the Ritex ones ( I used to use these and got lots of problems).
Thanks
Tricia

Hi Tricia,
I know it sounds like an unlikely reason for your drives to keep failing, but in our experience we have found that some media, when use frequently over long periods may shorten the life of the burner. Perhaps it is to do with the way the energy emitted by the laser is dissipated within the device. Perhaps excessive light is reflected to the diode on the laser causing it to over heat and fail.
Of course we can not be sure of the reason and can only offer some suggestions.
Experience indicates that the problem is unlikely to be from any other cause.
However, if ongoing, you do feel that the problem is caused by any other reason please do not hesitate to contact me.
Have you a surge protector on your power supply? Please let me know what media you have been using.
Kind Regards,

Hi [edited]
There is no problem with the power, all machines are protected anyhow.
X-pert Media Full Face White Inkjet Printable CD-R, these discs are recommended.
Also when will I recieve the machine back?
Thanks
Tricia

Hi Tricia,
Thanks for getting back to me. X-pert media is just a brand name; would it be possible for you to check discs Nero Tools for the manufacturer?
Kind Regards,
