OK - and what appears to be the problem. Is the computer not recognising the device at all, or is the machine not responding to commands through the software?

The machine does not respond to any commands. Last week we noticed it wouldn't burn cds and so we just continued using the label device and now that has stopped too. Apparently there was a red light flashing. we have tried different cartridges but it just doesn't respond.

I have just been going through the ticket system and found this ticket still open. Are you still experiencing problems with your publisher or has the issue been resolved?
I apologise for the delayed response - I was moved to another department and all the tickets were supposed to be re-directed to a technical engineer, it seems this one was not.
