The above machine we purchased from you in April of this year has gone faulty again. It Won't pick up CD's properly and therefore doesn't place them properly either.

The unit you have sent back for repair is in fact one your company purchased on 19 July 2006. It is therefore outside it's 12 month warranty.
We can have a look at it and quote for a repair - however please note there is a £50 exc vat evaluation fee. If we then quote on the repair and you proceed with the repair - we waive the £50 charge.
Please advise if you wish to proceed or if you would like us to send it back to you.

As per your call today - I have asked Steve to see if the fault is a quickly fixed issue. If it is we will fix it for free, though you will have to arrange to collect the unit.

Hi Carolyn, I have been looking at your system for you. I have repaired the problem with the robotic arm. But have found that although the Mfdigital Baxter will record to CDs. It will not record to DVDs. The replacement of the DVD Writer is chargeable, however your MFdigital Baxter will burn CDs with no problems. It will also pick up CDs with no problem. Please let me know how you would like to proceed. Thank You.

Thanks for repair. The unit is not use to record DVD's, so not further action is required on your part. I Will arrange for City link to colect the unit Monday 17th December.

Just confirming (as per call today) that the unit is boxed up and ready to collect tomorrow. I would advise you take out extra insurance for the shipping, as since it was not returned in original packaging we have boxed it as well as we can - but please note we will not be responsible for any damage incurred in transit (we have double boxed it for extra security).
