Is connecting my duplicator to my pc the only option that will allow me to master label (data) CDs that my standalone duplicator can read?
The writer on my computer is not lightScribe enabled. I don’t want to use it to print labels just to save the label data (which it does). However, do I need to connect a specific drive to my computer to enable me to generate a master data disc containing a label design that my standalone duplicator can read as I’m getting message “Vinpower-169-119.hgo Not Found” …..with 169 being the drive and 119 the media. Or will connecting my duplicator with a USB 2.0 be the way to go to generate the LS Label master disc?
What drive to I install my LS software under to perhaps enable my new standalone duplicator to read a computor generated lable data disc? This is simply a thought while I'm awaiting a reply to my earlier ticket!

Hi Williams,
I apologise for the delay in responding to your ticket - for some reason we were not notified upon its creation!
you do not need to have a lightscribe enabled drive in your computer. The software provided with the unit creates a "virtual" drive called 'Vinpower' - this basically converts your design into a series of files (called HGO files) that will eventually be re-interpreted by the duplicator to produce your printed lightscribe discs.
Once you have created these HGO files - (by "printing" them to a local folder on your computer) you will need to burn them all to the root of a blank CD.
Your machine should also have come with a software program called Nero burning ROM, which you need to use to burn these files to the disc.
Once you have done this, you transfer the new CD to the duplicator and select the print option - you should find this will work fine.
I will send you a separate e-mail with a picture attached, which illustrates the settings you need to choose in nero.
Please let me know if this works, and again I apologise for the delay in responding to your ticket.
Kind Regards,
David
