We purchased an acard 1:3 DVD duplicator a while around 3 years ago. One of the DVD drives has started to fail every disk and we are wanting to know how we go about replacing this?
Can we just take the drive out and replace it with any DVD drive?
Hi Daniel,
Ideally the drive should be replaced with one of the same make and model number, so as to minimise the risk of a compatibility clash between the units.
You should (in theory) be able to replace it with any IDE DVD-RW drive - however it is possible you will encounter problems further down the line.
If you can let us know the make and model number of the current malfunctioning drive, we can check our stock and give you price & availability on a new drive of the same make.
Kind regards,
David

Thanks for the info Dan - I'll make some enquiries with the warehouse to see if we still have any new 106's in stock. I'll let you know ASAP.
